A sterling silver belt buckle signed by Dan Oliver. The rectangular buckle is a classic, with a handsome design and engraved details. Its back is marked "Dan Oliver," "Scarsdale, AZ," and "Sterling."
Dan Oliver was a resident Navajo silversmith at Shades of the West. He created original American Indian jewelry exclusively for Shades of the West and Bischoff’s at the Park. Dan learned silversmithing from his father, Lloyd Oliver; Lloyd was one of World War II's original 29 Navajo code talkers.
Details.....The buckle measures 2.53" by 1.88", and the bar accommodates a 1.30" strap. This piece weighs 50 grams. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
