Heirloom Sapphire & Diamond Engagement Ring

This elegant Mid Century sapphire ring has lived several lives. The .83ct sapphire is an intense, velvety shade of blue. The gem is displayed in a classic platinum setting, raised above four dazzling accent diamonds. A pierced gallery curves into a crisp knife edge band. Its interior is hand engraved with the date "10-7-78," revealing the ring has been a treasured heirloom for generations. Circa 1940.

This ring comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab, and the appraised value is $3250.

Gemstone Details.....The sapphire is a .83ct round faceted cut, with Medium, Strong, Blue (B 5/5) color, eye-clean and transparent. Four round brilliant cut accent diamonds have a .14tcw, with VS1-2 clarity and G-H color.

Details.....Currently a size 6. The top of the ring measures 15.2mm by 5.7mm, and the band is 1.6mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
