A six-pointed star nestles within the gentle curve of a mystical crescent moon. This celestial brooch is encrusted with sanguine Bohemian garnets, set in jeweler's brass; jeweler's brass is also known as garnet gold for its popular use in the Bohemian garnet jewels of the era. The brooch fastens with a rollover security clasp, a 20th Century repair. Such a striking piece, with that Dark Sparkle we, and the Victorians, just couldn't get enough of. Circa 1880.
Details.....The brooch measures 1.16" by 1.04". In Very Good Antique Condition. Some wear should be expected on all vintage and antique pieces; we consider it to be part of their charm.
