Oversized Shadowbox Turquoise & Sterling Ring

A big, bold turquoise and sterling shadowbox ring from Navajo artist Thompson Piaso. Oversized and organic in shape, this ring makes a striking statement. A nugget of glossy blue turquoise with silvery matrix is inset within a curvaceous surround that mirrors the subtly asymmetric shape of the stone. Engraved line work ribs the heavy surround. The flat top of the ring sits above a heavy half-round band. Signed on the back "By Thompson Piaso." Circa 1980.
