This platinum and 18ct gold solitaire ring has a sophisticated Retro design sensibility. The .17ct stone is displayed in four platinum prongs. Panels of platinum are layered over shallow 18ct gold cathedral shoulders. The slim gold band is a gentle half round. Platinum and gold create a luxurious effect that is heightened by the ring's low-profiled simplicity. The interior of the band is marked "18ct," indicating the piece is English. Circa 1940.
