This enchanting artisan ring is set with a faceted teardrop of brilliant green moldavite. The rare gemstone is set in a curvaceous 14k gold bezel, set low on a tapered, half round band. Moldavite is a type of tektite, a natural, green-colored glass formed by a meteorite impact in southern Germany about 14.7 million years ago. It has been used by humans since the Stone Age, and has been considered a talisman for centuries. Some believe it is the "Grail Stone" mentioned in Arthurian legends. Moldavite jewelry should be worn with care, avoiding situations where it might be knocked or scratched.
Our 720 line of jewels marries the timeless aesthetic of vintage jewelry with a modern sensibility. We use metal from a green-certified refinery, and the gems are sourced from our collection of vintage and antique stones.
Details.....Currently a size 8. The ring's head measures 7.7mm by 9.5mm, and the band is 1.5mm wide.
