This excellent Victorian memorial ring honors a person with the monogram W.M.C. who died in 1876. The 14k gold half round band is ringed in a chevron pattern with milgrain edges. A hand engraved plaque bearing the initials W.M.C. sits at the top of the band. Two tiny latches flank the plaque, open them and the sides of the band swing wide to reveal exquisite plaits of hair tucked inside hidden compartments. The interior of the band is engraved with the date Sept. 1st, 1876. This ring is a touching tribute to a lost loved one. It is, of course, a delicate piece that should be worn with care.

Details.....The band is a size 8.5 and measures 4.8mm wide. This ring cannot be sized. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
