Moody little cabochons of rutilated quartz are set in these handsome sterling silver studs. Rutilated quartz contains needle-like inclusions of the mineral rutile. The rutile in these stones are black and spiky, suspended in smokey gray quartz. The quartz is bezel set in the sleek stud earrings, they are comfortable to wear with no prongs to catch on hair or clothing. Circa 1970.
Details.....The studs measure 9.1mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect wear in vintage jewels, it is considered part of their charm.
