Sophisticated Modernist Baltic Amber & Sterling Ring

This fabulous Baltic amber ring is unsigned, though it certainly resembles Scandinavian Modernist design. A loaf of warm, glowing amber sits in a sleek sterling silver frame. The amber is wonderfully included, looking like there is a whole other world in there. The frame sits atop a wide, heavy band; the band only connects at one shoulder, leaving the other open. This is a sophisticated statement ring, spare yet monumental in size and shape. Circa 1970.

Amber is a petrified tree resin; its inclusions result from pollen, insects, and vegetable matter being trapped within the resin and petrified.

Details: Currently it is an approximate size 8.25. The top of the ring measures 22.3mm by 19mm with a 15mm profile. The band measures 7mm wide. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
