This gorgeous waning Crescent Moon Pendant is set with 1/2 carat of old mine cut diamonds cradled in a curve of creamy pearls. Lovely details abound on this beauty from the hand cut collets to the the delicate open work frame. The Moon is 15k gold and dates from circa 1890.
The last decade of the 19th century brought symbolism and mysticism into every area of life as people contemplated the new century and what it might bring. This pendant is a conversion piece, it started its life as a pin.
Details.....The Crescent measures 1.09" x 1.05" The chain is new 14k recycled gold, adjustable to 16" & 18" long. In Very good vintage condition.
