A lovely sterling silver navette ring set with a mesmerizing slab of abalone. Its layers of colorful and iridescent nacre seem to spiral off into eternity. The abalone is set in a diamond-shaped plaque, engraved and sculpted with scrollwork at its shoulders. Beaded detail completes the design. The decorative top sits above a split-shouldered band. This pretty piece hails from the Bell Trading Post. Circa 1960.

Bell Trading Post was founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1932 by Jack Michelson and his wife Mildred. They sold southwest style jewelry at various tourist locations in the United States.

The top of the ring measures 1.02" by 0.49" and the band is 3mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition.
