Rich Amber in Russian Silver Necklace

Buttons of rich whiskey-colored amber grace this lovely Russian silver necklace in the traditional Latvian sun design. The amber is set in graduated discs of 800 grade silver; the discs are domed, tiered with petal-like scallops, and edged in silver beads. The discs are linked across the front of the necklace, suspended from a cable chain finished with a tube clasp. The silver has a pleasing patina that pairs beautifully with the warm amber. Circa 1960.
