Baltic Amber in Brutal Bossed Silver Necklace

This bold and brutal amber necklace looks as though it was ripped from the sinewy neck of a medieval Baltic chieftain. A chunky teardrop of scintillating amber sits in a heavy sterling silver bezel with a large, free moving bale. The bezel is ringed in bosses reminiscent of the rivets on a suit of armor. The decorative bale matches the bezel, and it's generously sized making it easy to swap out the sterling trace link chain for a ribbon, leather thong or anything else you like. This piece of amber has wonderful inclusions, petrified pollen and fragments of vegetation. Circa 1960.
