Antique Gray Baroque Pearl and Silver Filigree Choker

There is something darkly mystical about this antique choker of baroque gray pearls and sterling silver filigree. The 12 natural pearls are very well matched in size, shape, and color; they are large ovals with an iridescent, silvery nacre. Each pearl sits in a delicate bezel framed in lacy filigree, backed in mother of pearl, and linked by small silver rings. It fastens with a hook and eye, an extender chain could be added. This enchanting piece wraps around the neck almost like one of Queen Alexandria's dog collars, high and closely fitted around your tender throat. Circa 1890.
