Art Nouveau Woman's Profile Ring in Sterling

All of the classic Art Nouveau elements are present in this alluring sterling silver ring. Stylized themes from nature and romantic feminine motifs are rendered in ebullient whiplash lines. The ring features the profile of a young woman with flowing tresses swirling about her head. She has a classically beautiful face. Blowsy star lily blossoms are tucked behind her ear. Her face sits atop openwork shoulders engraved with a pattern of flowing lines. This design has been reproduced over and over again since the Edwardian era, but here we have a wonderful example of the original. Circa 1900.
