Cartier Old Mine Cut & Baguette Diamond Platinum Ring
An old mine cut diamond engagement ring with baguette accents from Cartier. The .44ct center diamond has the squoval shape and open culet we cannot resist in these antique stones. Tapered baguettes are bar set in each cathedral shoulder, the clean-lined austerity of the baguettes highlights unique character of the center stone. The platinum body of the ring features a low profile and a tapered band. The interior of the band is signed "Cartier." We don't find Cartier rings every day, they are highly sought after for reasons that are quite apparent. Circa 1940.
Cartier was founded in 1847 by Parisian watchmaker Louis-François Cartier. It remains one of the most high-profile luxury brands in the world.
