This cheerful micro mosaic brooch is fun and charming. A posy of flowers is surrounded by a design depicted in vivid tones of red, blue, green, violet, teal, yellow and white. A micro mosaic is created using the tiniest pieces of tessera (glass, in this case) to create depth and detail such as a painting would have. This mosaic is set in a pretty brass frame. It was most likely a travel souvenir, the back is marked "Made in Italy." Circa 1950.
