A charming sterling silver brooch in the shape of a stylized roadrunner. He looks so speedy! Circa 1970.
Roadrunners are found in parts of the southwestern United States and Mexico. In Native American legends roadrunners are known for their speed, endurance and bravery (they eat rattlesnakes!) The Hopi and other Pueblo tribes believed that roadrunners were medicine birds and could protect against evil spirits.
