Such a delicate color pale yellow like Portuguese Chrysoberyl or Precious Topaz. This lovely paste necklace shows the love of these gems and styles of the early 1800's not only in the color choices but the leaf-like garlands set with clear pastes that bring it all together. All of the paste gems are foil backed and set in closed settings as was the style at this time. Especially wonderful is the unusual cut on the central focal stone.
Measurements: The Chain 18" long. The Pendant, 2.87" drop from chain, and 1.20" across at the widest point.
Materials: Silver gilt metal, and foil backed paste gems.
Era: Early 1800's, with a more modern chain.
Condition: Very good for its age and materials, with some slight darkening of the foils as to be expected.
