The exterior of this early Victorian heart locket is adorned with symbols of romantic love. One side of the 18k gold is engraved with a single rose. The other is engraved with a Witch's Heart: a jaunty heart that symbolizes bewitched love. The interior is clean and missing its frame and glass. The chain is an 18k gold flattened curb link with a box clasp. This locket is a great example of the Victorian's fascination with sentiment and love. Circa 1840.
Details.....Locket measures 0.68" by 0.56". Chain measures 17" long. In Very Good antique condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
