French 18K Gold & Persian Turquoise Flower Brooch

This fun European brooch evokes Pop Art glamour. Persian turquoise and luxurious 18k yellow gold is such a vibrant combination. Three stylized gold flowers have turquoise cabochon centers. The gemstones are bezel set and framed in gold rope detail.  The long double-pronged clip on the back is marked Déposé SSM. The clip is also marked with the French export Mercury's head hallmark. The hallmark for date is illegible, but the piece dates to 1960-70. A playful piece that gets serious with the quality of its materials and construction.

Details.....The brooch measures 1.5" by 1.34" and weighs 17.4 grams. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should expect some wear with all antique and vintage pieces, we consider it to be part of their charm.
