Fun German Flower Necklace Signed Fahrner
A fun flower pendant from important German jewelry maker Fahrner. This sterling silver necklace is lighthearted and more accessible than Fahrner's more avant-garde pieces. An elongated daisy hangs from a smaller flower; the petals are engraved with milgrain lines. The silver has been given a soft golden gilded effect. A cluster of marcasites forms the flower's center. A jump ring suspends the flowers from a cool faceted shot bead chain. The back of the pendant is signed "Original Fahrner." Circa 1930.
Fahrner has produced some of Europe's most exciting and innovative jewelry in the 20th Century. Theodor Fahrner was one of Germany's first jewelry manufacturers. He exhibited at the 1900 World Exhibition in Paris, winning the Silver Medal for Jewelry. After Fahrner died in 1919, Gustav Braendle succeeded him and retained the "Fahrner-Jewelry" brand name.
Details.....The chain is 18" long with a 2.5" extender chain, and the pendant measures .57" by 1.55". In Very Good Vintage Condition. Some wear should be expected on all vintage and antique pieces; it is part of their charm.
