The Victorians loved the Dark Sparkle of garnets, and so do we. This beautiful antique pendant is an oval cluster of deep, dark red garnets. The slightly domed pendant is formed by riveted tiers of gold filled metal encrusted with the luscious gems. Spiky petals of garnet teardrops ring the edge. The pendant hangs on a bale from a vintage gold filled snail link chain. Try wearing this pendant on a black velvet ribbon, it is historically appropriate and so wonderfully decadent. Circa 1860.
Details....The chain is 18" long. The pendant measures 1.03" by 1.35", 1.5" with bale. In Very Good Antique Condition. Some wear should be expected on all vintage and antique pieces, we consider it to be part of their charm.
