Gold and Diamond Art Nouveau Pansy Locket

The quality and incredible depth of this pansy locket combine to make this one of the finest Art Nouveau lockets I've had the pleasure of offering. The pansies pop up off the surface of the locket and vine all around the circumference leaving just enough space for the prong set old mine cut diamond in the center. This locket was made using the technique of repoussé where the design is created from the back of the jewel to give depth and fine detail when viewed from the front. The back of this locket has a few scratches and small dents but is free from initials. The bale is original and marked 14k, the locket tests for 14k as well. The chain is new recycled 14k gold. The locket dates c1890.

Details.....The locket measures 1.25" across. The chain is a cable chain newly made from recycled gold and can be worn at 16" or 18" lengths for extra versatility. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
