Golden Vintage Oval Locket by Monet

This mellow, glowing gold filled oval locket is elegantly simple; plain, with a softly beveled edge. The interior of the locket is clean, with glass and frames on both sides. A decorative bale suspends the locket from a modern gold filled cable chain. Circa 1970.

Brothers Michael and Jay Chernow created the Monet Jewelry line in 1929. In the early days of the Great Depression, their goal was creating affordable, high-end looking pieces.
