Gorgeous Antique Opal & Rose Cut Diamond Ring

One of the most striking opal rings we have see. Five colorful opals are set in a cross configuration in the scalloped platinum top of this gorgeous ring. Glittering rose cut diamonds are set in the interstices and a border of milgrain beading surrounds the gems. The decorative platinum top sits above the 18ct gold body of the ring. We love this method of layering precious metals, it was a very popular technique at the turn of the 20th century. Beautifully made with lovely details, the underside of this ring is nearly as beautiful as the top. Circa 1900.

Please contact us if you need this ring sized more than two sizes, it may be possible and will have a small fee. The top of the ring measures 15mm by 19.3mm and the band is 2.1mm wide.
