Gorgeous Georgian Emerald Doublet & Pearl Band
This gorgeous ring features a gem-set Georgian top over a modern replacement band. Three emerald doublets alternate with two bright white pearls, all set in a row of ornate 18k gold cut back collets. Gold infinity symbols, also known as lemniscates, line the gallery, making this ring lovely to look at in profile. The shoulders are embellished with a pierced flourish where the antique top of the ring meets the modern 14k gold band. This ring is as delicate as it is lovely, please wear this beauty with care. Circa 1820.
A doublet is a composite gemstone consisting of two pieces of the same or different gem materials, or one of gem material and a second of glass. The pieces are layered to improve the appearance of the gem. In this case, thin slices of emerald are layered over green glass, deepening the color of the emerald.
Details.....Currently a size 7. The ring may be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. The gem set top of the ring measures 18.6mm by 6mm, and the band is 2.1mm wide.
