Hand Knotted Pearls with lovely White Gold Filigree Clasp

Subtly graduated matinee length pearls with a pretty white gold filigree clasp set with a pearl. These cultured pearls are a lovely creamy white, hand knotted on white silk. The 14k white gold clasp has a safety mechanism. This strand of pearls is a nice length to wear alone or layered with other necklaces. A strand of pearls is a wardrobe essential. Everyone needs one. Pearls were first cultured in 1893 by Mikimoto. Cultured pearls are created by adding an irritant, such as a grain of sand or small bead, to a pearl oyster to encourage it to cover the irritant in nacre, thus creating a pearl.
