Incredible Necklace with Silver Turquoise & Heishi Beads

This incredible Southwest American necklace is breathtaking. The necklace is formed of two strands of beads and finished with a dramatic tassel. Rough nuggets of natural turquoise, spherical sterling silver beads are strung with two kinds of shell Heishi beads. The tassel is a loop of Heishi beads, turquoise and silver. The necklace is finished with a hand crafted silver hook clasp. Circa 1970.

Heishi beads are small disc-shaped beads made of shell or polished stone. These beads originated with the Kewa Pueblo people of New Mexico

Details......The necklace has a wearable length of 26" long. The tassel measures 5" long. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
