Lapis in Frothy Diamond Bubbles Cocktail Ring
Purest blue lapis lazuli glows within a cluster of effervescent diamonds like champagne bubbles rising in a crystal flute. The oval cabochon of very high grade lapis is prong set at the heart of this magnificent Art Deco cocktail ring. Sparkling white old mine and rose cut diamonds are bezel set at varying heights around the lapis, creating an effect like frothy bubbles. The platinum ring's cathedral shoulders are elaborately pierced to resemble giardinetti, then set with glittering rose cuts. The old mine cut diamonds have a 0.80tcw and the rose cuts have a 0.50tcw. Delicate milgrain engraving gives a frosty glitter to the surface of the platinum. The ring stands proud, with the gems sitting above an ornate open work gallery. This ring is superb from every angle. Circa 1920.
