A beautiful abalone panel ring made in Mexico in the 1950s. This elegant piece exhibits a slab of iridescent abalone set in sleek sterling silver.  Subtle in color and texture, its size makes the statement. The ring is stamped with Mexico's eagle 22 assay mark. 

This piece dates to the Mid 20th Century, a high point in Mexican silver jewelry design. Mexico drew jewelry artists from all over the world. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the locally mined supply of materials, silver and semi precious gems were abundant and affordable.

Details.....Currently a size 5.25, this ring may be sized for a fee. The top of the ring measures 1.42" by 0.46" and the band measures 3.2mm wide. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of its charm.
