Mexican sterling silver pendant inlaid with dreamy waves of abalone. The sleek silver pendant is shaped like a chubby tilde (~). The pendant hangs from an oversized bale on a modern sterling silver box chain. The bale is stamped with the makers mark "TF-25" and the "925" sterling silver stamp. The stamp gives this piece a cool, subtly industrial feel. Circa 1980.

The city of Taxco is an important center for Mexican silver jewelry design. During the 1940s Taxco drew jewelry artists from all over the world. The main attraction for the designers and studio jewelers was the abundant locally mined supply of materials like silver and semi precious gems.

Details.....The chain is 16" long and the pendant measures 0.35" by 0.71", 1.10" with bale. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect some wear on all vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of their charm.
