Mid Century Norwegian Sterling & Amazonite Necklace

A gorgeous Mid Century Modern necklace that recalls traditional Scandinavian design from the renown Norwegian artist David Andersen. The sterling silver pendant has an elegant crescent shape, with an open work pattern of concentric ovals. A cabochon of dreamy blue-green Amazonite sits at its heart. The pendant has a large, integrated bale and hangs from a vintage sterling rope chain. The back of the pendant is signed "David-Andersen Norway Sterling 925s" and "INV.B.S.0." Circa 1950.

Amazonite was treasured in many early civilizations for its delightful color. It's also a wonderful stone to wear in the modern world as it is believed to absorb microwaves, cell phone emanations and defend against electromagnetic pollution.
