A lambent Mikimoto cultured pearl sits at the center of swirling arms of sterling silver. This variation on the bypass ring has a cool elegance. The interior of the band bears the Mikimoto maker's mark. Circa 1950.

Pearls were first cultured in 1893 by Mikimoto. Cultured pearls are created by adding an irritant, such as a grain of sand or small bead, to a pearl oyster to encourage it to cover the irritant in nacre, thus creating a pearl.

Details.....Currently a size 5.75. For a fee, silver rings can usually be sized within two sizes. Please contact us for sizing information about this ring. The top of the ring measures 12.5mm by 10.6mm, and the band is 1mm wide. The pearl is 7.2mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
