Engraved Silver Necklace by Newman's Reno Silver Shop
This gorgeous sterling silver necklace is signed for the famous "Newman's Reno Silver Shop." The piece is composed of a dozen beautifully engraved discs linked with a heavy curb chain. Each link is hand engraved with a sweet flower design. The necklace is finished with an oversized spring ring. A fabulous collector's piece with great Western Boho style. Circa 1960.
Newman's Reno Silver Shop was best known for fine engraved silver. Newman's was the partnership of Nevada legend Jack Starr and master silversmith M.H. "Hoot" Newman. "Hoot" Newman was a cowboy, WWII veteran, silversmith and master engraver. He engraved by hand, using no hammers or pneumatics.
Details.....The necklace is 17" long. The discs measure 12.5mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces, we consider it part of the charm.
