Absolutely beautiful niello enamel locket engraved with a view of Mount Fuji and Chureito Pagoda. The round sterling silver locket has been covered in gunmetal-colored niello enamel, then engraved on the front with the renown mountain, pagoda and cherry blossoms. The back is engraved with rolling hills, trees and a single bird. The engraving is bright, shiny and crisp. The locket closes securely and the interior is in good, clean condition with no frames. The locket hangs from a decorative silver bale on a vintage sterling curb chain with a pretty engraved clasp. Circa 1940.

Details.....The locket measures 0.94" in diameter, 1.2" long with bale. The chain is 16" long. In Excellent Vintage Condition. Small imperfections are to be expected and considered part of the charm.
