Darkly Romantic 1920s Onyx & Marcasite Ring

This ornate onyx and marcasite ring is rich with Deco flavored Dark Sparkle. An oval cabochon of black onyx is bezel set in sterling silver, framed in a halo of glittering marcasite. A second, more rectangular tier of elaborately engraved scallops frames the halo, with marcasite-set peaks at each corner. The under gallery is engraved with a foliate pattern. A dramatic ring with slightly spooky romance. Circa 1920.
