Pavé Rose Cut Diamond and Opal Antique Ring

Paved with 20 rose cut diamonds and 3 opals this charming antique navette ring shimmers beautifully in low light. I can imagine the parties and evenings of candle light this ring sparkled through and the happiness it brought each time it was slipped upon the long slender finger of a 19th century lady. Opals were such a mystical part of the Victorian Era that novels were written about them. Slightly rosy the gold is 12 to 14k and the ring dates from the 1860's.
