This adorable brooch from Margot de Taxco looks a lot like Beatrix Potter's character Peter Rabbit. Champlevé enamel is applied to sterling silver; he wears a little blue coat over his velvety brown fur. His shy little face is so very sweet. This brooch fastens with a security clasp. The back is stamped "Margot de Taxco," "Made in Mexico Sterling," and twice with the Mexican Eagle 16 sterling mark. It is also marked with the design number 5422. Margot de Taxco's designs were numbered 5100 to 5790, so this is her 322nd design. This piece was made around 1948, at the height of her career.

Details.....The brooch measures .70" by 1.67". In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique pieces; we consider it part of the charm.
