The Modernist movement of the mid 20th century embodies big, bold aesthetic ideals. Studio jewelers pushed the boundaries of "normal," creating fantastic and surreal beauty. Modernist artist Phyllis Sklar designed this incredible sterling silver bangle bracelet, capturing the organic lines of twisted bramble. The curvaceous and sinuous lines of this bangle remind us of the Art Nouveau aesthetic, but the bold and industrial feel of the piece is a hallmark of Mid Century design. Sklar is an American jeweler and painter who launched her career in Greenwich Village in 1955. This piece is signed by the artist. Circa 1960.

Details.....The bracelet is 0.29" wide and measures 2.27" inside. It fits a smaller wrist. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
