Sublime Geometric Diamond & Sapphire Knuckle Ring

The sublime geometry of this diamond encrusted Art Deco knuckle ring fascinates. The top of the ring is an elongated panel of pierced and engraved platinum, spangled with diamonds and accented with sapphire sparks. Fifteen glittering old European cut diamonds have a 0.65tcw. The center stone sits in a hexagonal setting, four synthetic sapphire baguettes frame the hexagon. Smaller diamonds sit in square and triangle settings. All of these settings fit together like a precious puzzle, milgrain engraving traces the geometry. Wisps of filigree peek out from between the shapes. Pierced shoulders are engraved with a foliate design, they taper into the slender band. So much to see in this glamorous statement ring. Circa 1920.
