Superb Lavender Jade Necklace with Plums, Coins & Dragon

This superb necklace may be the star of the jade estate we have been listing. The pendant is an incredible piece of lavender jade, exquisitely carved with plums, coins and a dragon. The carving is crisp, delicate and lacy, and the pale purple jade has a charming spot of green. The pendant hangs on a decorative bale from a strand of lavender jade beads that are hand knotted on lavender silk and finished with a decorative bead clasp. The findings are all 14k yellow gold; the ingeniously hinged bale is in the form of a Scholar's Knot. Everything about this necklace is exquisite. Circa 1970.

The symbology.....Dragons are potent and auspicious with benevolent strength, good luck, and power. The plum represents abundance. Coins represent, of course, good fortune and prosperity.

I will be listing a large quantity of delightful vintage jade jewels from the estate of a collector, it will take some time so watch this space.....

Details.....The necklace is 25" long, the beads measure 8.1mm in diameter and the pendant measures 1.38" by 2.25", 3.15" with bale. In Excellent Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels, we consider it part of the charm.
