This graduated heishi bead necklace has the coolest surfer vibes. The ivory-colored shell beads fasten with a brass barrel clasp. Something so satisfying about this one; put it on, and you can hear waves breaking on the beach. Circa 1970.
Heishi are small disc or tube-shaped beads made of shells or stones. They originate with the Kewa Pueblo people of New Mexico.
Details.....The necklace is 17" long. The heishi beads graduate from 3.4mm to 14.5mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
