Turquoise & Coral in Graphic Silver Overlay Ring
This graphic ring has Moorish influences, just like classic Native American squash blossom necklaces do. The ring's top is a flat plaque of silver overlay arcs and teardrops. Overlay is a technique in which a carved layer of polished silver is applied to a layer of oxidized silver, creating a shadow box effect. Bright red coral cabochons are set at the plaque's east/west points; turquoise drops are set north/south. Silver beads are placed around the edge of the plaque. The decorative top sits above a half round band. There is something special about this ring; its design aesthetic is undeniable. Circa 1970.
Details.....Currently a size 6.25. The top of the ring measures 19.5mm by 28.8, the band is 1.8mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should always expect some wear on your vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
