An unusual form of the traditional claddagh ring. This heavy 15ct gold band is engraved with the crowned heart and hand motif, repeated around the exterior of the band. It has a wonderful weight and feels smooth and substantial on the hand. The band is hallmarked and stamped with a makers mark. Circa 1970.

The Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish engagement or wedding ring. A form of the ancient fede ring, it bears the motif of a crowned heart held in two hands which represents love, loyalty, and friendship. The ring was first produced in the 17th Century at the Irish fishing village of Claddagh in Galway.

Details.....This ring is a size 6.5. It cannot be sized. It measures 3.9mm wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear, we consider it part of their charm.
