Voluptuous Dream Art Nouveau Baroque Pearl Ring

Art Nouveau is a design movement seeking freedom from the limitations of 19th Century historicism and academic art. The movement is characterized by its dynamism and  stylization of natural forms: asymmetry, whiplash lines and serpentine curves. This incredible ring displays all of those elements. Two adjacent natural baroque pearls are framed in a bower of flower-spangled green and yellow gold. The soft, melting forms marry perfectly with the sensuality of the lustrous pearls. Two tiny diamonds glitter at the pearls' interstices. The narrow band is 14k yellow gold. This ring is a voluptuous dream. Circa 1908.
