The Celtic cross is essentially a Latin cross with a nimbus surrounding the intersection of the arms and stem. It emerged in Ireland, France, and Great Britain in the Early Middle Ages and became widespread during the 9th through 12th centuries due its use in the high crosses erected across the British isles.

Connemara marble is a rare, green marble that is native to Ireland and is sometimes known as Irish jade.
