A great horned owl is rendered in wonderful white on white inlay with small colorful accents. This Zuni inlay brooch captures the owl's beauty in broad strokes. Mother of pearl, shell, and white agate is set in sterling silver. Her feathers are tipped in turquoise and coral, and she sits on a sterling tree branch. This brooch has both a pin and a bale, so it may also be worn as a pendant. The back of the piece is engraved "Zuni" and bears an illegible maker's mark. Circa 1970.
