One of our favourite Victorian staples is the gypsy band. This stunning example has a fabulous twist, the center diamond is a dazzling old European cut with a champagne hue. The richly colored center diamond is flanked by white old mine cut "cupcake" diamonds. The chunky stones have squarish open culets, just the way we like them. This trio of gorgeous diamonds are flush set in a classic gypsy-style tapered 14k yellow gold band. Circa 1860-80.
This ring comes with an insurance replacement cost appraisal. The appraisal is done by an independent gem lab. The appraised value is $5500.
