Geometric Art Deco Old Mine Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

An excellent Art Deco engagement ring with a gorgeous architectural aesthetic. This ring has a low profile and an east/west orientation that gives it a substantial look while remaining easy to wear. The center diamond is a 0.34ct old mine cut with a chunky crown and a fat open culet. This charismatic stone sits in a square head, framed in a pierced and engraved geometric design. Small individual boxes are each set with a wee accent diamond. The shoulders are engraved with a sweet flower at the point they step into a crisp knife edge band. An openwork gallery extends the geometric motif, making this fascinating ring gorgeous from every angle. Circa 1920.
